In existing buildings it is possible, under certain conditions, to add a new section either in height or by extension. The most important thing to consider in an addition is the static adequacy of the existing building. The older the existing building, the older the regulation with which the study was made and therefore does not include the technology and the specifications of the current regulations that apply to the safety of the structure.<\/p>

In all cases, we undertake the static and anti-seismic study of the new department with modern computing tools and in accordance with current regulations.<\/p>

In addition, the high seismicity of our country, various disasters (fires, floods, etc.), as well as the aging of building wealth in combination with new requirements of modern regulations have created the need for the preparation of Static Adequacy Studies, Repairs and Reinforcement.<\/p>

In 2012, in Government Gazette 42 \/ \u0392 \/ 20-01-2012, KAN.EPE was published. (Intervention Regulation) and is now a law of our state. This Regulation concerns the assessment of the load-bearing capacity and the anti-seismic redesign of existing structures or their parts and covers the inspections of existing structures without obvious damages or damages, as well as the possible seismic redesign of these structures. KAN.EPE provides the necessary controls and describes any necessary interventions to upgrade the safety level of the existing building.<\/p>

The redesign requirements are also defined for each case and cover the inspection, repair or reinforcement and seismic redesign of existing damaged structures. The Regulation determines the conditions under which it is obligatory to redesign and strengthen an existing structure in case of damage and those under which a simple repair of the structure will suffice.<\/p>
